“That the decree that creates private laboratories be reviewed and applied”

“We have a scientific committee at work. Everything is going well. This is not our first experience. With the failures of the first edition, we took advantage of them to go faster this time. We are confident. I chair the Quality Management sub-committee. So we have a whole session on quality management, which is everything that is done in the laboratory to have quality results that meet the implicit and explicit expectations of the patient. But what we encounter as a difficulty is the plethora of laboratories that open indiscriminately.
And often without approval. We have already questioned the pharmacy and laboratory medicine directorate about this. But as a Cameroonian clinical biology company, we have no pressure on these clandestine laboratories that are open. We have no means of pressure on them. But these laboratories are operating in full view of everyone. Today, we are asking the government to simply revise the decree that created private laboratories in Cameroon. This decree is obsolete since 1990. This decree does not really specify who can be technical director. And it must also be applied ».
